Panzer General by Strategic Simulations The year is 1939. You are a German General with a fresh command and you think the world is yours to conquer. That could be so if you lead your troops well and your strategy is cunning. Your troops could slice through Western Europe, North Africa, and the Eastern Front like a bayonet through strudel. You could enjoy Christmas in England by 1940--or in New England by 1945! This new online-only version of this classic turn-based wargame can be played with 2, 3, 4...up to 6 players in a variety of Panzer-bashing scenarios. |

How to play Panzer General Online on TEN Fire up the Panzers, scan the horizon, and engage up to 7 other generals across Europe, Asia, and Africa in this classic wargame. To play on TEN, you'll need a brand new, Windows 95 version of Panzer General Online v1.1 installed on your hard drive (the original retail version won't work on TEN).
Download Panzer General Online v1.1 (5.9MB)
After you download the file, double-click on the PANZER.EXE file to install the game on your hard drive. In addition, Panzer General Online requires DirectX 2 drivers to run. Download the DirectX 2 file below and double-click on the file to install. (WARNING: If during installation DirectX detects "untested" drivers on your machine, don't replace them unless you know what you're doing. Baaaaad things may happen otherwise.)
Download DirectX 2 drivers (3.3MB)
If you're new to Panzer General, it'd be a good idea to read the online manual. To do so, double-click on the PANZRMAN.PDF file in the Panzer General HELP directory, or click on the "Read Manual" icon in the Panzer General game menu.
Once you have Panzer General Online installed on your machine, you've read the manual, and you've donned jackboots and a silly little mustache, sign-on to TEN and choose "Panzer General Online" from the Game Selector screen. Double-click on an Arena to enter the warzone. When you choose JOIN or CREATE a game for the first time, you'll be asked to find the PANZER.EXE file on your hard drive (it's in the Panzer General EXE directory). After that, it's welcome to WWII. |
